Born 1945 in Vancouver, BC; married; two adult children; grandfather; raised and resides in Vancouver area; businessman - mortgage investments; Sportsman: fishing, hunting, hiking; gardening.

Born 1966 in Kelowna, BC; married; father of two; educational background: pre-engineering sciences, diploma business program (operations management); self-employed consultant; compiled research on all aspects of transport safety, photo radar, speed enforcement, speed limits, and laws; additional research on education (improving drivers), engineering (improving roads), alcohol and drug effects on accidents, economic analysis of photo radar, etc.; working on a broad plan to improve transportation safety and efficiency in BC.

• SENSE opposes the introduction of photo radar in British Columbia on the basis that it does not address the underlying safety problems causing most of the accidents and injuries on the Province's roads.
• Photo radar will reduce the most skilled drivers to the lowest common denominator, rather than raising the skills of the poorest drivers.
• We advocate enhanced driver training, enforcement of all traffic laws equally, the correct setting of speed limits based on engineering studies with speed enforcement then aimed at speeds excessive for prevailing conditions, and implementation of measures to eliminate poor driving habits.
